About Us

Pam founded the firm in early 2006 after 10 years’ management experience with construction associations convinced her that the industry could use more support for turning green into gold. Her background in marketing and sales combined with top-level building science credentials gives her a unique perspective on green building – keeping it practical and profitable! In addition to being an accredited third-party verifier for multiple certification programs, she holds a master certificate in building science from Advanced Energy and is one of the first female licensed HERS energy raters in Washington State. She is also a real estate instructor and popular presenter to both industry and consumer audiences. Pam is a board member of the Snohomish County Sustainable Development Task Force, serves on the executive committee of the Tacoma/Pierce County Built Green program, and is a member of the Speakers Bureau of the Master Builders Association of King and Snohomish Counties.

Katie Boyd, Client Services – (425) 263-2475

Katie Boyd has managed Green Dog’s client services for more than four years, handling everything from tour logistics to scheduling site inspections. An experienced ENERGY STAR verifier in her own right, she excels at collecting and reviewing documentation and preparing projects to be submitted for certification.

Calvin, Canine Services

Calvin puts the dog in Green Dog! He’s a ‘recycled’ Boston terrier (adopted from People United for Pets) with boundless energy and enthusiasm. He can often be heard in Pam’s Honda Element, demanding to be allowed to inspect the jobsite for himself. Sorry, Calvin, you’re not covered by our liability insurance!
